SuperStock isn’t a site I’d visited before but they appear to be one of the bigger stock photography companies on the web. Right now I’m following a case where a guy used one of their images without permission (or paying, I’d guess). The image has been removed but he also checked online to see if he was doing the right thing. Unsurprisingly he didn’t get much sympathy.

This is a fun review, in order to know what I’m talking about I have get to hang out and play games. Now, I’ve visited a few arcades but haven’t really spent a huge amount of time getting to grips with the issues that arcade owners have to tackle so this is very much a user’s review 🙂

Last Stop Games (cute domain name) is a free flash games site with a wide range of arcade games. Some have different names Collapse is called Crash Down for instance.

Now there’s a headline to grab your attention: Nude photos shock teacher

The print version of the article included a screenshot of the dating page, but to summarise: Small town teacher takes naked photo (raunchy? or one of those “before I started my diet” pics? who knows) and emails to a friend. Someone (the friend?) then doctors a dating website page to include the photo and sends it to the school principal with a complaint.

You might fall out with your friends, but trying to get them fired… now that’s low.

When you are just getting started in the web business – or taking a big step up in requirements – you have to pick the right hosting for your site. I know I’ve trawled through plenty of sites trying to gauge recommendations and to find the right company. In the end I’ve tended to rely on personal recommendations but we don’t always have those available from reliable peers or mentors.

Best Web Hosting was started up late last year to help people navigate through this tricky business – and they’re doing a good job. Granted, the companies they promote have affiliate programs but do you really want your site on a company that isn’t big enough to provide that kind of sales incentive? I actually see that as a GOOD thing.

TV screen protection is a new idea for me – I’ve got a flat screen on my desk but our TVs are all the old style. I was sheltering from the rain during the Olympics and chose a big electrical store as my haven – I was struck by the difference in the screens depending on the type of TV you bought.

So, having gone through all the pain of picking the right system I guess it figures that if you are going to add something to it you’d want to pick well. That’s where Mike’s new site http://www.tv-armor.com/ comes in.

MoshiMonsters hardly need the publicity since they appear to have a PR company getting them phenomenal publicity. My family discovered these little critters after they got a plug on the News as the Facebook for kids! My boy was signed up within minutes!

We’d been through Club Penguin and I was under significant pressure to start paying monthly fees so I was very glad to find an alternative site to take the heat off!

There’s a huge amount of money to be made from exploiting the affiliate programs of the big gambling sites. A signup alone can net a double digit fee!

Gambling Live is text book example of how to take advantage of this – elegantly.

The site has a clean layout which lets the buttons for the sites they promote do all the talking and it’s laid out neatly. The navigation takes you to the different sections and I’d never realised that you could play Bingo online. Obvious really, but honestly – Bingo?!
