Lets get this straight, I don’t like viruses and the people who write them are morons, clever but morons. I don’t like or condone extortion but sometimes you have to have a teeny bit of respect for the people who come up with these things.

I’ve got no idea about how good the actual service provided by Ancestry.com is – I never got that far. I was puddling about doing some research recently when I stumbled across the site. There’s a free trial so I thought I’d take a look.
We’ve heard over last 24 hours that Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue has breast cancer. Showing the ignorance of probably a great many people is my DH with “but she’s got little boobs” – if only it were that simple. Little boobs often means earlier detection but there are no guarantees, even men get breast cancer!

However you’d have to think that using the net today becomes just another “life skill” among many. If the net baffles you then perhaps a score of other basic skills also baffles you.
I’m a bit of a fan of Nick Bradbury and Bradsoft having first used TopStyle some years ago when first working on the migration of Vantive ( –> Peoplesoft –> Oracle) from desktop to web. More recently I have won a licence through the WeberDev coding contests.
Wow, I went to my Book Club (gets me out of the house and away from the PC) two nights ago and brought home The Third Person by Steve Mosby! It’s gritty and not entirely pleasant but totally gripping.
