I’m a bit of a fan of Nick Bradbury and Bradsoft having first used TopStyle some years ago when first working on the migration of Vantive ( –> Peoplesoft –> Oracle) from desktop to web. More recently I have won a licence through the WeberDev coding contests.

Something that off-the-shelf scripts tend to neglect is saving your files in a secure location. Not all the files, necessarily. Just the valuable ones with things like your database username and password. The files that really matter.
Shawn Hogan runs digitalpoint – a collection of web services and a webmasters forum. I’ve dubious honor of being member #29 so I’ve been hanging around there for a bit.
Well here’s a funny old thing. I’ve done a bit of coding on PropertyTalk and I’ve put up a currency converter courtesy of OzForex. Every so often someone keys in something odd.
This is a case study of Surfing San Diego, a successful site being run by a chap called Josh. I flamed a chap one night for having bad code and Josh sacrificed his own site and challenged me to tell him how to put it right.
As you travel through life you bump into all sorts of people. The internet is great because it exposes you to a far greater range of people, it’s a shame that you’ll never probably get to meet them. It broadens perspectives and challenges your preconceptions.
So moving on. There’s a chap called Mike aka SiteTutor who puts himself about a bit and he’s set up a real estate blog. I’ve taken a look at his demo and asked him to let me have my own. Not that there’s much point really but I was interested to see what it was.
